I travel a lot. I get to “rub elbows” with some really amazing people like Ginnifer Goodwin, Kevin Costner, Angelina Joile, Chris Pratt, well you get the idea (you can read the interviews here). I also get to go to some really great events. I always want to make sure I look my best when I go out. (On the other hand, you can normally find me in my basketball shorts and a t-shirt with my hair brushed and no make-up 😉 ). When I want to get ready – and have some place nice I am going (like church, conducting interviews or going out on a date with my hubby) I make sure I give myself enough time to get ready. But the rest of the time – I usually only have about 10 minutes to throw myself together because I am getting kids ready too, so I have learned some shortcuts for getting ready quick and want to share them with you.

5 tips to get ready quick:

  1. Have dry shampoo on hand
  2. Use makeup that goes on easily and quickly and looks great
  3. Don’t be afraid of Q-tips (they work wonders at getting off a mascara smudges and more)
  4. Accessorize (Jewelry or a scarf will help any look)
  5. Use lotion and body spray to freshen up

I have sensitive eyes, that start to burn if I wear certain makeup to long – so I have to be really careful about what I buy. Victoria Jackson makeup has not caused any reactions, and I LOVE LOVE the coverage of the foundation, blush and mascara! I love the way it makes my skin look. You can see from the pictures above that the coverage is amazing – and after a full day of work, family, being mom and then heading to the park and playing softball with my kids – it still looks really great!

The products that I used are:

FOUNDATION DUO

LUSH MASCARA

PERFECT EVERYDAY BLUSH

GENTLE EYE & FACE MAKE UP REMOVER

The foundation and the mascara are my favs – but the blush works really well and stays on good – and the makeup remover works good too. They are all essentials in helping me get ready quick because they go on quickly – but cover great. They help me get ready not just for my day – but to take on anything life offers!
