Flower Pen and Pot Craft

In honor of my sister that passed away last fall of cancer I am making these fun Flower Pen and Pot crafts for the special mothers in my life. She made and sold thousands of these as part of her home business and I love the cute flowers and pots that she had. I gathered up some of her supplies and set to work making a few of them. They were pretty simple to put together and I love how they turned out. To top it off, I got a Love2Love Coty fragrance in Fresh Rose + Peach to spray onto the flowers, and it really made all of the difference. I love the smells of all of the varieties and they each set their own mood so you will have to smell them all to see what you think. It is great to get the frangrances and give them as part of the gift like we did for this one. There are even nice gift bags by the bottles for only $0.50 that make it super easy to get your Mother’s Day shopping done.

To put your Flower Pen and Pot together you will need a Pen, duck tape, uncooked bagged beans, a small terra cotta pot, a fake flower, craft paint and a fragrance like the Coty Love2Love. First you will paint the pot your choice of color and set aside to dry. Take the pen and wrap duct tape around it in sections, securing the flower into place first. Then you can either work on the Mother’s Day card, or attach the accents to the pot. You will fill the pot up with the beans, leaving about 3/4 of an inch from the top. I LOVE how these turned out. It only took about 10 minutes and they are so fun and the pen can be used everyday!

Together with the Love2Love fragrance, it turned out to be a beautiful gift. They really go perfect together. And there are so many different types of flowers you can choose from, you can make a flower pen that matches each fragrance.  My kids helped me pick out these flowers and I think they are really cute! You could even make 2 or three and add them to the pot. You can get the pots in the garden section at Walmart.

Look for the displays in your local Walmart and pick a few up for the amazing Mother’s on your list. I love love love how good they smell and I know that my Mother, Mother-in-law, sisters and friends will love them as well. They are a great price and it is something they can use over and over again. Being a mom is one of the most important things in this life – let’s celebrate it by showing the mothers in our lives how much they mean to us.
