This Little Artist Birthday Party is brought to you by Oriental Trading Co. All opinions are my own.
My second oldest recently had her tenth birthday party. Because she loves art and is always drawing, we decided to have a Little Artist Birthday Party for her. It was so much fun. We planned and planned and had a lot of great ideas that we wanted to put together. We are both really happy with how things turned out. The decorations that we got from Oriental Trading matched perfectly with what we wanted to do. The cupcake decorating, canvas painting and fun games made it the perfect birthday party. I want to share all of the details with you so can use them as you need them while you are planning your Artist Birthday Party. For this party we got Little Artist Party Luncheon Napkins and Beverage Napkins, Artist Party Paper Dessert Plates, Little Artist Paint Splat Hanging Swirls, Artist Party Treat Stand with Cones, Paint Bucket Favor Containers, Paint Palette Charms, Confetti, and a Spring Fun Loops Assortment Kit. You can find all of these any many more Artist Party Birthday Supplies on Oriental Trading.
To set up the decorations we had a lot of fun and colorful things together to emphasize the colors of a paint pallet. Jelly Beans in small plastic jars, Colorful cereal in milk jars, plastic tablecloths layered to create a bright background, the different colored of cups, different colors of food and decorations from Oriental Trading all came together for a beautiful combination. We also got an Artist Party Treat Stand with Cones and we filled each cup with popcorn that we had covered with white chocolate and colorful sprinkles. The kids loved these.
During the party, we had a picnic table and set up all of the paint supplies. We had easels with an 8×10 canvas, paint palettes, acrylic paints, paper towels, cups of water and paint brushes. My husband is a good artist so we set up his easel and he led the girls in painting – step by step – while they each painted their own picture. This was so much fun and they all had a great time.
Another fun activity was putting cupcakes in the center of a paint pallet and put all different kinds of sprinkles and decorations in the cups. We gave one to each girl, with several different colors of frosting on the table and let them decorate their own cupcakes. We put the Artist Party Picks in the center of each cupcake and it was the perfect touch!
For their treat bags, we had some fun gifts to put in them that we got from Oriental Trading. We used the Artist Party Cellophane Bags and added things like Paint Chip Spiral Notepads, Little Artist Dog Tag Necklaces, Artist Party Folding Hand Fans, and we also added a juice box and some other treats. It was a great way to say ‘thank you’ and send them home with their paintings as a fun memory of the party.
We had a lot of snacks for the kids to eat, but their favorite was the fruit/veggie tray. We make kabobs with the apples, strawberries and grapes and the kids had a great time dipping them in chocolate, eating them and then making more.
I hope this gives you some fun ideas to create your own Little Artist Birthday Party! Learn more about the different party supplies you can get on Oriental Trading at:
