A couple of weeks ago (I can’t believe that it has been that long already!) I was able to go on an amazing trip to San Francisco. For part of that trip we were able to go to the PIXAR Studios (the ACTUAL home of wonderful creation) and get a lot of behind the scenes sneak peaks. It was one of the coolest things I have ever done! I not only got to get a tour of the different buildings and the grounds (which ROCK!) but I also got to go behind the scenes of The Good Dinosaur Movie that comes out November 25 – as well as visit the PIXAR Archives (let’s just say WOW!) and learn about the creation of Toy Story for the films 20th anniversary! (You can read more about the PIXAR Archives here) Pictures say more than words so I am going to share a lot of pictures – but I am also going to be doing a lot of talking because there is just so much to tell about this amazing day!

We were able to go up to the second floor and tour many of the incredible creation and process elements of The Good Dinosaur movie. I am sharing pictures of some of them, and it was really incredible to see. We also got to talk to and interview a lot of people behind the scenes that helped make the movie and those interviews will be posted over the next few weeks. I love how they decorated the Atrium to The Good Dinosaur and the life size banner of Arlo was really eye opening. It gives me such a life like look at what size Dinosaurs could have been.

If you haven’t seen the preview yet you can view it here:

“The Good Dinosaur” asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct?  Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo (voice of Raymond Ochoa) makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.
