Re-Usies Review

As part of my effort to try and become more ‘green’ I have found little ways that are easy for not just me, but also my family to do. We have a separate trash can for recyclable items, we reuse things like boxes, bottles, and other items, and we have found several ways to reuse bags. When I found out about Re-Usies, I was so excited that we would have another way to be ‘green’.

My Re-Usies Review

Re-Usies are bags, much like baggies but they are reusable and washable.  Since there are three convenient ways to wash them, (hand wash, dishwasher or washer and dryer), they are super easy to keep clean. They are 100% cotton lined and have a leak resistant nylon lining. This makes them great for those dry snacks (like goldfish, crackers, cereal, etc) and also for fruits, vegetables, sandwiches and other items that might now be “dry” or “mess free”.

They also have a large Velcro closure on the front, and another piece of Velcro on the back, so you can fold it over to make it a “half size” and still have it Velcro securely.

There is also an awesome “fold” on the top inside of the bag that helps secure the food in place! This folds over with the lid, creating a “lip” so that food won’t slide out it is it full.

Since they are food safe you can use them for all sorts of things! Snacks for traveling, school lunches, church, around the house, shopping, etc. They have so many prints and patterns that you can find one for each family member that matches their personality.

ReUsies are a re-usable alternative to sandwich and snack bags.  Each one has the potential to eliminate hundreds of plastic bags.

If you use a lot of plastic bags, or if you don’t it is still a smart decision to get Re-Usies. They are so convenient and not only do you only have to buy them once to have great bags on hand all the time, but you are helping be a little “greener” by not using as many plastic bags. (we used to go through a LOT more!).

There are 17 styles of Snack Bags and 21 styles of Sandwich Bags!

You can find Re-Usies here: http://www.reusies.com/

They are also on Twitter and Facebook
