The holidays are officially underway at The Gateway shopping center and there are many fresh features for visitors to enjoy. In addition to the new seating areas complete with fire cauldrons to stave off the cold, The Gateway has new retailers that offer a unique shopping experience and new Santa traditions as well.
“This holiday season we are really celebrating our local retailers and the unique stores that are at The Gateway,” said Rochelle Fraser marketing director at The Gateway. “We have many stores that offer unique gift ideas that you can’t find anywhere else in Salt Lake City. Take for example, the gift baskets at Chili & Max and Mountain Town Olive and the French pastries at Bon Bon. Many of these places offer free tasting bars as well, so you can make an educated decision when choosing a gift.”
Children can visit Santa Clause at The Discovery Gateway Monday–Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. Every child who visits Santa will receive a free lunch at either Jason’s Deli or the California Pizza Kitchen. Every Thursday through December 19 is pet night with Santa.
