I was able to go to a screening so I could share this No Time To Die parents guide. All opinions are my own.
This movie has been one I have truly been looking forward to for YEARS! Daniel Craig has been my most favorite James Bond and I am so sad that this is his last movie. But also so grateful that he did one more. And they “left everything on the field” as the saying goes. No Time to Die literally rocked my world.
REVIEW
First of all, I will start by saying that if you don’t watch the other four James Bond movies that Daniel Craig has done – at the very least Skyfall and Spectre, you will be lost. All that aside, you will still be able to enjoy an amazing movie packed with action and an intense storyline that you will love.
Lashana Lynch (who plays Nomi) is the first female 007. As the movie starts out with James being retired for a while – they have replaced his spot with a new 007. Enter – Nomi. You will probably recognize her from Captain Marvel. She does an incredible job in this and I am looking forward to hopefully seeing more of her in upcoming films.
Not only are the characters played by the same people as we all know and love, but the new players are just as fantastic and make it that much better. Ana de Armas (who plays Paloma) also adds another layer of greatness to the movie. I loved her in Knives Out (which was played opposite of Daniel Craig) and it was good to see her in this role doing an action flick. She played it well.
I don’t want to give anything away about the movie. It is just to freaking good – and I don’t want to spoil even one second of it for you. If you love James Bond – go see it. If you are thinking about it at all – go see it! It will just make you want to watch the other movies and go back and see it again. It is THAT GOOD! Check out our No Time To Die parents guide below.
No Time To Die Parents Guide
The movie is rated PG-13 for sequences of violence and action, some disturbing images, brief strong language, and some suggestive material.
It runs for 2 hours and 43 minutes.
While there is not a NO TIME TO DIE END CREDIT SCENE, it does say that James Bond Will Return at the end. I can’t freaking wait!
Overall – this is one of the cleanest James Bond movies made. I would say this would be fine for 10 and older. If they have seen the other movies, there will be nothing new.
Sex & Nudity – Typical James Bond “love scene” towards the beginning of the movie. No graphic nudity and no actual sex shown. It is only implied. A dress is worn by one of the characters that is cut down to the belly and shows some side boob.
Violence & Gore – A lot of gunfighting and people dying but mostly nongraphic violence. Some bombs going off throw people around. Some people dying from poison have sores and blood on their faces.
Profanity – 2 uses of hell and 1 f* word
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking – Plenty of alcohol, but mostly always in the background. Cigars and cigarettes show once in a while.
Frightening & Intense Scenes – Some of the fight scenes could be intense. There are a couple of scenes that might scare younger watchers (like a man with a mask).
