Being environmentally friendly is important to my family. I try to teach my kids how to be more conscientious of their actions now so that they can grow up to be more responsible. Since they are still young it is more fun and education and they do very well to listen and try their best to follow the things we talk about. Picking up all of their garbage when we are camping or hiking, recycling everything we can, and several other things were always at the forefront. Now, we have something new to teach them about thanks to Tide and the new Tide purclean laundry detergent. Tide purclean is the first bio-based detergent. It has the same great cleaning power of Tide, but is made with 65% bio-based ingredients. It is made with 100% renewable electricity and is made at a zero manufacturing waste to landfill site. These are great things that I can talk to my kids about and they understand how important it is.
I was at Target a few days ago and was so excited when I saw the new Tide purclean so I grabbed a bottle to try it. We already use Tide, so I know how great it is. I brought it home and washed a load of my kids stained dirty clothes, and was happy to find them clean and smelling great when the laundry was done. I am excited to find a laundry detergent that is bio-based and for it to have the cleaning power of Tide is a win-win for me and my family. Teaching our kids to be more “green” is so important because they need to learn how to take care of and respect our earth. Here are 5 ways to teach your kids to be more “green”:
- Set up Recycle boxes in your home and let your kids help in the recycling process
- Teach them to pick up their trash and to keep the outdoors clean
- Help them learn how to take care of plants, flowers, trees and other plant life
- Use products that are eco-friendly (like Tide purclean)
- Work on upcycling (reusing items in your home for other purposes) and buying gently used items (such as clothes, books, toys, etc)
Target has a great price on the new Tide purclean, and you can take advantage of the $1.00 off neckhanger coupon plus get an additional 5% savings if they use their Target Cartwheel mobile app (both valid through July 30, 2016). You will love how great this detergent works and how much more “green” it is.
