This last weekend we gathered together and watched the movie “A Dog’s Purpose” for the first time. We have a dog, Jake, who has been part of the family for about 4 years. The time has gone by fast, but he has grown to be as much a part of our family as any of the rest of us. We got him all snuggled in with us and we started the movie. With each progressing scene, the kids snuggled a little closer to him and by the time the movie was over, they were all surrounding him, giving him loves. Appreciate your pets, show them love and take care of them.
During the movie, Jake kept looking at the screen and it made me wonder what he was thinking. The movie had several funny parts that shared what the dog was saying and we all laughed, thinking that it sounded just like our dog. If Jake could talk, I think he would tell us “the movie shared how much we as dogs, truly care for our owners. I try to make them happy, listen and have fun. I will protect them and follow them anywhere. I will always remember ‘my kids’ and all of the fun times we have had and will have in the years to come”. A Dog’s Purpose is a sweet family movie that is our on Blu-ray and DVD today!

Based on the beloved bestselling novel by W. Bruce Cameron, A Dog’s Purpose, from director Lasse Hallström (The Cider House Rules, Dear John, The 100-Foot Journey), shares the soulful and surprising story of one devoted dog (voiced by Josh Gad) who finds the meaning of his own existence through the lives of the humans he teaches to laugh and love. The family film told from the dog’s perspective also stars Dennis Quaid, Peggy Lipton, Britt Robertson, K.J. Apa, Juilet Rylance, Luke Kirby, John Ortiz and Pooch Hall.

The movie has a lot of feels. Be prepared for some emotional scenes and talks with your kids about losing pets. We loved it though and thought it had a great storyline with a lot of funny moments as well. Along with the movie, we also received some fun things for Jake. We got a recipe book for dog treats and a bone shaped cutter. My girls can’t wait to make Jake some homemade dog treats. We also got a bag of Emma Lou’s Kitchen dog treats. Jake loves these. I love that they are made with No Additives, Always Fresh, All Natural Ingredients, Easy To Serve and Environmentally Sound. Find them on their Website, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
