Tom Hanks does an amazing job of bringing such a hard, real-life situation to life in A Man Called Otto. It is a movie that everyone should see. If you struggle with thoughts of suicide, finding help, or a reason to live, this movie will show you that there is more out there than you think. Find help and let others help you on your path to recovery.
It is the story of a grumpy old man (Otto played by Tom Hanks), set in his ways. His wife has passed on, and he struggles to find reasons to continue living. (warning, this movie has several attempted suicides shown).
Through all the trials, Otto comes to realize he still is needed. There are still people who love and care for him, and who he learns to love back. Such a wonderful heart moving film with incredible acting. Tom Hanks has great chemistry with his costar Mariana Trevino, who plays Marisol. Although Tom is the main star, Mariana will steal your heart.
