My mom was changing my daughter’s diaper, had powdered her and was putting on a diaper when my daughter let out a fart that sounded like a loud bang. My mom jumped and there was powder everywhere.
I didn’t know he has left crayons in the car this past summer. What a mess, in the Texas heat!
The time we accidentally left a sharpie marker on the table and the next thing we knew there was writing on the floor in the family room.
I had just changed a diaper and before I could get a fresh one fastened, I got wet on!
Going cross country with our son daughter in law and their children. Getting up to follow DIL to bathroom so we could change babies diapers. Saw he had gone all over himself, her and the diaper bag.He left the rest in the high chair in the restaurant. My husband had to clean it up.

We ran out of wet wipes while on a family outing, had to use a public restroom sink to wash, and the electric hand drying fan to dry my daughters “bum”, much to the amusement of other patrons of the facility.
My son peeing on me and I had just got dressed for going out but that happens a lot lol. The funniest is letting my husband dress them that man has no fashion sense and is color blind.

My husband was changing our sons diapers when he got squirted on. Gosh did I have a good laugh.
My daughter once pooped and it leaked all the way up to her armpits, I was not at home and that time and used a whole container of wet wipes to get her cleaned up.

I was teaching my youngest son baseball. We were in the yard with my two older sons. My youngest had tried and tried to hit the ball with the bat. He finally hit it and broke a window. We had no idea he would be able to hit so far or so hard.

Probably the worst was when my daughter wasnt feeling well and during a diaper change she projectile pooped on me. It was like a fountain of poop really…. I just stood there aand cried.
My daughter would put her swimmer on her head and have her face peeking out the leg hole. She looked like a little ninja!
we have had mishaps with poop, it is horribly messy and awful.
My mishap was when I wasn’t thinking, I gave the baby a cookie because she was hungry and we were on the go, in a hurry. I learned my lesson…no messy chocolate chip cookies! She was a complete mess when I went to get her out of the car seat.

While potty training our son he would only use the potty in the bath tub. He is using the toliet properly now, but back then I was a little concerned lol

this didn’t happen with my daughters but with my grandson. I had only ever been around girl babies and didn’t know that boys were that different when it came to diapering. I put my grandson’s diaper on and in just a little bit he peeded straight up out of the diaper all over everything 🙂

When my daughter was a baby and needed eye surgery, after the surgery, dad carried her to the elevator where she proceded to throw up all down the front of him.

My daughter when potty training used to holler I pooted to let me know she needed to go. One day in a public store though instead of hollering I pooted she started screaming Mommy You Pooted trying to let me know she needed to go. Everyone in the store was looking at me.
A diaper explosion got in the chair, up his back, on his legs. It was one huge gooey mess.

I have not really had any major things happen because we just had our first baby in September but I am sure there will be plenty to come!
Funny things would be taking the kids to the bathroom and them complaining about the smell while others are in the other stalls… or when they are little for them looking under the door of the bathroom.
Not telling my stepson what a tampon was, which led to him yelling WHAT’S A TAMPON during our entire time at Walmart.

I can’t think of mishap really because even if we had ine I think of it more as a funny. We live waaaay out in the country (we have a very large working farm) my daughter was potty trained by peeing outside on the rocks, and telling us “mommy da grass tickled my butt!!!” Good times….

My little baby is only 4 months old, the only thing that he has done is managed to pee in his bath tub while giving him a bath.
We caught her giving the dog her vegetables. Where did she learn that? TV?

Just had a baby boy so changing his diaper is different compared to my girls’ diapers… I should’ve listened to all the advice and covered up! He peed all on me during one of his changes in the first week!

We have had many funny parenting mishaps, one that stands out is the time my son had a play date and they got into my hubby’s shed, using a spray paint can, spraying the trees and grass so “they would have colorful flowers”, according to my son 🙂
My favorite funny moment was when my toddler opened a packet of Jello and decorated the walls with it.
Of the few times she had a bm that the diapers couldn’t contain, she always leaked on her father and never on me. 🙂
The first time changing a diaper, I had some cheap wipes and my finger ripped right threw. Hubby called me “brown finger” lol
Changing diapers just before feeding and then having to change them again was always unpleasant.
Seems like many mishaps are related to poop, and ours is no different. I did not know that poking my son’s butt would ‘encourage’ a poop burst, and that was what I was doing while cleaning him. So I was poking with a wipe to clean, and there was a fart, then nothing. So I continued, and suddenly, you can imagine… It was like the Manneken Pis in Brussels, except that this was from the butt. Tough to contain when my son was ‘in the moment’. My wife and I actually laughed for a good 5 mins before proceeding to clean everything (ourselves and him included) up.
Our daughter is an only child and she blames the dog for EVERYTHING
there have been plenty of poopslosions! some I didn’t have a change of clothes for. oops

When my daughter was 5, she had to have alot of eye surgeries. My daughter hated getting eye drops put in, at theses appointments. She would freak out and squirm all over. At a Post Op. appointment, the Dr. was putting them in, and she was squirming around. I had to hold her hands down to keep her from pushing the Dr.’s hands from her face. Next thing I knew, the Dr. was on the ground. She had accidentally kicked him square in his “you know what” He got up, and walked out of the room for a few minutes. My husband and I were so mortified!!!
When my daughter was 4 she put my contacts in the toilet.
I forgot diapers on a road trip.
My daughter and I went on a 9 hour trip and I forgot the diapers. I have to use one of my t-shirts as a diaper until I could stop and find a store to buy diapers.
I was in mid change of changing my grandsons diaper and he decided he had to go # 2 and it shot out and got all over my daughters foot. I surely didn’t know poo could fly that far lol
Our mishap was when our son leaked through his diaper and clothing and onto his car seat.
There’s been a few times where during bath time all of a sudden I’ve noticed a turd floating in the water. There’s nothing like doing bath time twice in one night 🙂

I put a diaper on inside out once!
My husband while I was at work feed my daughter full apple juice without watering it down……What a mess I had to clean up when I got home.
When my daughter was 10 months old, I took her to an amusement park for the day. When we got home, I wasn’t feeling so great. I put her to bed and laid down on the couch and fell asleep. I heard her crying but waited a moment to see if she would go back to sleep. After a couple of minutes she was quiet. A while later I got up off the couch to go to bed and looked in on her. There she was sound asleep in her crib with poop everywhere…even in her hair!
Well, it wasn’t funny at the time, but we had a diaper blowout at the beach.

When my boys were both little (they’re both middle-aged now!), they smeared themselves with Vaseline when I wasn’t looking, then dumped baby powder all over themselves! The clean-up was not fun! Luckily, we all survived each other!
Getting the wrong and larger size of diaper, ended up with the help of duct tape.
One of my biggest mishaps was trying to change my sons diaper at a bathroom at a restaurant and my son had diarrea!

When my daughter was younger I had a tendency to forget to put a bib on her. I soon realized that her whole wardrobe would be stained if I didn’t start using them.

When I took my son for his 3 year check-up, the doctor asked what he was sleeping in. I didn’t realize he was asking if he was in diapers or pull-ups or potty trained. I started describing his pajamas. I’m sure the doctor got a good laugh about that!

I tried so hard to get a burp out of her but was running out of time and just had to leave with her. Once we got to our appointment, she spit up a massive amount in her carseat and was covered from head to toe. Wasn’t funny at the time, but it’s funny now!

I used cloth diapers when my son was young and then I wanted to go to Pampers, and he went nuts and screamed and tore them off, so I had to make sure to use cloth diapers until he was potty trained. I never made this mistake again.

Not a mishap, but … we were at a birthday party and I had my daughter in a highchair, the table we were all eating at was a good arm’s length away, The next thing I see, is she is stuffing handfuls of marinated beans in her mouth. I had no idea how she reached them since they were towards the middle of the table, far from her, and I did not know she even liked them. I learned quick to watch out for long arms.

Not a mishap, but looking back, when our first son was born, I nor my husband knew how to change a diaper. We must have been a site in the hospital. Our son kept peeing in the air when we were trying to diaper him. We did learn quick though.
