I can’t even begin to tell you how many different chemicals, cleaners and other things I have used to try and remove the hard water stains from my toilet. While I am sure there is some amazing chemical (or non-chemical) combination of things you can use that easily removes hard water stains in your toilet, I am not a wizard at homemade cleaners, so this is what I have found to be my best friend when it comes to cleaning our hard water stained toilets!
ARE YOU READY FOR THIS!?!?!?!
This is the Pumie Heavy-Duty Scouring Stick! A pumice stone is great for more than just getting rid of hard spots on your feet!! 😉 I found that using a pumice stone to clean a toilet not only makes it look brand new again, but it is easy to store and if safe around my kids.
To use the pumice stone, you simply take the stone and get it wet, then scrub the dirty parts of your toilet. I rinse periodically to see my progress. Usually in less than 10 minutes and I have a nice beautiful toilet! HA! (that sounds funny). But with 6 people living here and lots of guests, our toilet gets dirty quicker then I care to think about. Because of all my responsibilities, I want things like cleaning the house to be done as quickly as possibly in the most effective way!
I found them at Wal-Mart of just under $2, put one stick lasts for about 6-12 months! If your toilet is pretty gross, it it will take a little elbow grease to get it clean, but works GREAT!
You can also get the Pumice Heavy Duty Scouring Stick on Amazon.com. There are several different brands so check around.
Benefits of the Sour Stick:
- It removes rust, stains and paint from porcelain, ceramic tile, concrete, masonry and hard metal surfaces.
- Will not scratch those surfaces
- No harsh or abrasive chemicals
- All natural
- Lasts a long time without worry of kids getting into chemicals and poisons
If you are looking for a “Green” way of cleaning the porcelain, ceramic tile, concrete, masonry, and hard metal surfaces around your house that nothing else works on, you need to get a Pumice Sticks! They are great!
