Last week while I was in LA for the Beauty and the Beast #BeOurGuestEvent, we were able to visit Williams Sonoma in Beverly Hills. I loved just walking into this store. I picked out 3 dozen things in the first minute that I wanted to take home and put in my kitchen. When we got there we were able to meet Chef Karine and she showed us a live cooking demo on how to make Beef Ragu. While we were there we got to try Soup Du Jour, Meat Ragu and Cheese Soufflé (from the Be Our Guest song). You can see the full Beauty and the Beast menu here.
It was a lot of fun and of course, I was eyeballing the limited edition Le Creuset Beauty and the Beast Pot she was cooking with. The pot is Oven and broiler safe; gold-finish stainless-steel knob is oven safe to 500°F. The body is also dishwasher safe (they recommend hand washing the lid to preserve the design). Here is a little more about the Beauty and the Beast pot:
- 2 3/4-qt. cap. chef’s oven is ideal for cooking soup, risotto or stew.
- Enameled cast-iron construction boasts superior heat retention and requires no additional seasoning.
- Enamel interior’s light sand color makes it easy to monitor food while cooking, ensuring less sticking and burning.
- Ideal for use on any cooktop, including induction.
- Hand-applied red rose-and-vine appliqué design on lid.
- Stainless-steel knob with gold metallic finish is engraved with “Be Our Guest.”
The food turned out fabulous and I learned a lot from her. I need a pot that can go straight from the stovetop to the oven. This would make things so much easier.
Not only was the food amazing, but they also served us lemonade that had been steeped with rose leaves. I had never had anything like this and it was good. After our cooking demonstration, we went over to a different part of the store and we learned how to make paper roses from Handmade by Sara Kim. She is a great teacher and this was a lot of fun. I am going to show my kids how to do this later today because they have been asking how to make one of their own. I really enjoyed this part and thought my rose turned out pretty good.
Visiting Williams Sonoma was a lot of fun. If you haven’t been into one of their stores yet, you need to go! They have so many great things, and this pot! I just can’t get over it. You can also get a free catalog so you can check out their items, or visit their website for their full inventory. When we were leaving they gave us gift bags that had some fun things in them. The cookbook and chef hat are well loved by all of my kids. They have planned out this weeks menu with that book. I love it!
