I love Captain America. Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) changed the world with his iconic role. It was rough to see him “pass the torch,” but I really enjoyed Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) as Falcon, and for him to take over as Captain America was as good as anyone they could have picked. You shouldn’t be lost if you haven’t seen The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series. But there are only 6 episodes, so it is worth watching. With all that said, I will get into my review of Captain America: Brave New World.
The movie starts out with action, and stays that way for most of the movie. There is a lot of combat, fighting, graphic violence, language, and creepy stuff. But the storyline is great, and the special effects flow so well, it’s hard to tell what’s real and what’s not. Some characters come back from The Incredible Hulk, like Samuel Sterns (Tim Blake Nelson) and Betty Ross (Liv Tyler). Harrison Ford takes over the role of Thaddeus Ross (previously played by William Hurt). He does a fantastic job.
While the plot has some twists and turns, overall it is pretty straightforward. This does not make it unenjoyable. There is a lot of action and funny dialogue that will keep you entertained. I think that Captain American: Brave New World is a great addition to the MCU! I highly recommend seeing it.
