During my son’s dinosaur birthday party, we played a lot of fun games and did some fun activities. One thing we did that the kids LOVED was a dinosaur balloon stomp (aka balloon tag) game.
Instead of empty balloons, we put small plastic dinosaurs inside along with a fun treat. That way, when the balloon got stomped on, they would have something fun to grab. We made a lot of them, so the kids could play for a while without running out of balloons. I would suggest at least 5 for each kid.
To put the Dinosaur Balloon Stomp game together you will need:
- medium-sized latex balloons (quantity depends on how many kids)
- small plastic dinosaur toys
- small treats (that can’t be squished easily, like hard candy)
- yarn or string
To put the toy and treat in the balloons will probably take two people. One person to stretch out the opening and the other to put the toy and treat inside. I had my older girls (his older sisters) help me.
Once all of the balloons are filled, you will want to blow them up to about 3/4 capacity and then tie them off.
Now you will take a piece of string that is about 3-4 feet long and tie one end on the balloon securely, and save the other end to tie around the ankle of the kids playing.
