If you have been following, we have shared some really great ideas for a Dinosaur Birthday. The Dinosaur Lava Cake, Dinosaur Balloon Tag (Stomp) Game, and the Dinosaur Egg Krispy Treat Eggs. Today we are sharing Dinosaur Mason Jar Party Favors.
My son wanted to have a Dinosaur birthday party, so I sat down and planned out a bunch of fun games, treats, and party favors. One of the biggest hits of the party were these Dinosaur Mason Jars that we made for the favors.
Dinosaur Mason Jar Party Favors
You will need:
- Wide mouth 8 oz Mason Jars just like these (but you can get them a lot cheaper at like Walmart or your local grocery store).
- Superglue and or hot glue
- Silver/Grey spray paint
- Dinosaur party favors and treats to go in the jar
- 5-8″ plastic dinosaurs (like these)
To start you will want to take the lids and rings for the mason jars and super glue them together.
Once you have them all done, take them and put them on some newspaper (preferably in your garage) and spray paint them silver/grey. This will take a while to dry. I let mine set overnight.
While you are waiting for the lids to dry, you can fill the jars with the treats and toys. We added things like dino stampers, mini dinosaurs, and punching balloons) then added some packaged treats.
Once the lids have dried, you will take super glue or hot glue and glue the large dinos to the lids. Make sure these dry well. Wait until just before the party to put the lids on the jars (that way there aren’t weird smells trapped in an enclosed jar).
These Dinosaur Mason Jar Party Favors will be fun for the kids to take home and keep their fossils, rocks or other trinkets in. These are also fun to make to decorate a dinosaur bedroom to keep stuff in!
