Disney’s PLANES Movie Review
Disney’s PLANES is a great movie for kids and adults a like. The story-line, elements, graphics and script all combine to make it another fun animated movie that my kids love to watch over and over. Dusty Crophopper is a crop duster plane who wants to be a racer. This movie takes you on his journey from being dedicated and making his way when no one else thought he could to the end where he proves that hard work and determination and friends can get you through anything.
You will meet and fall in love with Skipper (Dusty’s mentor), Dottie (the mechanic), Chug (the faithful friend), and of course El Chupacabra (just get ready to laugh, that’s all I have to say about him). The cast is great – Dane Cook, Stacy Keach, Cedric the Entertainer, Teri Hatcher, Brad Garrett, and many more talented people.
There are lots of funny moments in this movie as well as touching and even a couple of intense moments for my kids. The animation is so realistic (we got to learn how they did that here) and it really makes you feel like you are part of the movie. We got to meet with Klay Hall and Traci Balthazor-Flynn and talk with them about how they made the movie. I really had no idea how much went into it.
Beginning November 1, 2013, select aviation museums will feature “PLANES”-inspired learning materials designed to introduce children to the exhilarating world of flight and its most celebrated figures. These materials include the Disney “PLANES” Reel, featuring “Top Ten Flyers,” a countdown of some of the greatest aviators in history hosted by ESPN’s Colin Cowherd, “Aviation Fun Facts” tip sheets, and activity sheets families can fill out while visiting their favorite aviation museums.
The DVD, Blu-Ray, and Digital Copies were released today! Be sure to pick one up. It is a great show and will even be perfect for under the Christmas tree!

Nice! I haven’t gotten to see Planes yet. I’m hoping to, this weekend.
