This post is brought to you by Oriental Trading. All opinions are my own. With the Winter Olympics coming up February 9-25, 2018, we wanted to share this fun DIY Olympics Prize Punch Game for you to make with your kids to keep them involved and entertained with the fun. We ordered most of the supplies to make this fun project from Oriental Trading. Be sure to get your order in now so you have time to make it before the Olympics start. To put this all together you will need
- 5 12″x12″ pieces of cardboard
- Tissue paper (I used snowflake since it is for the winter olympics. You can also use the same color as the cups/rings)
- Blue, Gold, Black, Green, and Red plastic cups
- Blue, Gold, Black, Green, and Red acrylic paint
- Award Medals
- United States Key Chains
- Winter Crafts
- Flag Crafts
- Jewelry Crafts
- Curling Ribbon
- Star Decorations
- Olympics Games & Activities
- Torch Craft
- Treats & Recipes (to make treats)
- Award Popcorn Boxes (with popcorn, white chocolate, red and blue food coloring, sprinkles)
- Red, White and Blue drink supplies (vanilla ice cream, red punch & grenadine syrup, blueberries, skewer sticks)
- Gold paper fasteners
- Rubber bands
I used a large bowl for the outside ring and a cereal bowl for the inside ring. You can use a box cutter or heavy-duty scissors to cut the rings out of cardboard.
Paint the rings with acrylic paint and let dry completly.
Once the rings are dry, you will tape them together with clear packing tape and then figure out where you want to place the cups.
Using a sharp knife you will poke a hole in the cup and the cardboard. Please be very careful. Now you will take the paper fasteners and put it through the bottom, into the cup and then open it to secrure the cup to the cardboard.
Once all of the cups are attached, you will put the crafts, treats and papers with activites inside the cups.
Once the cups are filled, you will take squares of tissue paper and put it on top of the cup, then putting it in place with a rubberband.
We had a total of 15 cups. We decided to add a variety of prizes from treats, games, crafts, activities, etc. I am going to share a list with you of everything we included to give you ideas.

This can also work for the summer Olympics, you will just have to adjust the activities for summer.
What ideas do you have to put into the cups?
