This post is brought to you by Oriental Trading. All opinions are my own. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, so I wanted to share another fun craft for you to do to decorate your house with. We found these adorable heart ornaments on Oriental Trading and I knew right away what I wanted to do with them! This DIY Valentine’s Heart Ornament Garland is easy to make and looks adorable with any Valentine’s decor.
DIY Valentine’s Heart Ornament Garland
We found some things around our house to fill the hearts with, but we also got a lot of our supplies from Oriental Trading. We have a lot of leftovers as well so we can make a few more crafts – I can’t wait! First, you will need to gather some supplies. We used heart ornaments and filled them with:
- crinkled up paper in red and white
- silver rose petals
- purple rose petals
- red and white glitter balls
- heart-shaped buttons
Then we used gold wire and a couple of the large heart-shaped buttons to hold it together. We threaded the wire through the heart and then twisted it once to hold it in place. You can even take the ribbon and tie pieces onto the wire, or add the ribbon tied around the wire in different spots.
You can see how easy this was to make and how elegant and adorable it looks. I hope you have fun making your DIY Valentine’s Heart Ornament Garland. What ideas do you have for things to put in the ornaments? I thought some bunched up tulle, 4-5 inch pieces of curling ribbon, or even tissue paper would look good. I may have to make another and try out some of these ideas! And be sure to check out orientaltrading.com and see all of the great craft and party supplies they have for every occasion.
