I love creating and building things. Fortunately my kids have picked that up from both my husband and I and so we have a lot of fun doing things together. From crafts to building things, we are always keeping our hands and minds busy. In my search to get more meaningful toys for my kids for Christmas this year, things that can stretch their imaginations, help them create, and be active, I cam across SmartLab Toys. They have an amazing collection of toys and games that will not only keep your kids entertained for house, but also allow them to create and grow through design, imagination, and creativity. We were given the SmartLab Toys Demolition Lab: Triple Blast Warehouse and the Weird & Wacky Contraption Lab to test out, and let me tell you that I haven’t had so much fun in a long time.
The Demolition Lab: Triple Blast Warehouse lets your children build unlimited warehouse structures that they can then add the blasters in strategically placed locations and when you are ready you press the button for an impressive demolition. The blasters will pop out on both ends knocking down part of the base, weakening the structure. They give you over 50 pieces to build your warehouses, and even some fun additions like smokestacks, trusses, and pipe bridges. This will keep them entertained for hours simply because it is any design they want to come up with and then they get to push a button and create a real demolition.
The Weird & Wacky Contraption Lab is just as fun. It comes with a set of flannel boards in a sturdy frame that stand over 2 feet tall. There is a huge collection of over 45 pieces that you can mix and match the make any kind of “marble track” you can think of. They have pieces that fly, spin, kick, and twirl as well as many other fun things. There are stops for the ends of the pipes so it won’t go flying off of the track the wrong way, and there are pieces that the track snaps into creating a sturdy maze, but it is not hard to get them out when you are done. Check out this fun video with the track that we made.
