We have partnered with Superior Source Vitamins (SSC) to share more about how to enrich your summer with clean vitamins. All opinions are my own.
Being healthy is something that has always been important to me. But as I get into my 40s, it has become more of a priority. Besides the obvious things like eating more healthily and exercising, there are a few other things you can do to help. If you have a partner and/or family, it is great to do this together so that you can help and encourage each other. Being more healthy and taking better care of myself has been at the top of my list this year, and I am finally ready to make it a priority. I am excited to not only exercise and eat better but to continue using my Superior Source Vitamins. I can already tell a difference. I challenge you to enrich your summer with clean vitamins. (enter the giveaway below)
We have had a lot of fun this summer doing so many things from hikes, camping, playing on the lake, and traveling. Eating well and exercising have improved how I am feeling and adding Superior Source Vitamins has made me have the best summer yet! The different vitamins that you can win are Vitamin D3, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Vitamin B-12, and Valerian Root. These are great to help enrich your summer! I want to break down the benefits of each of these so you know why it’s beneficial to take them regularly:
Vitamin D3 –
Calcium absorption: It helps regulate calcium and phosphorus levels in the blood, promoting the absorption of calcium from the intestines. This is essential for bone health and maintaining the integrity of the skeletal system.
Bone health: Adequate levels of vitamin D3 are necessary for proper bone mineralization, which helps prevent bone-related disorders like rickets in children and osteomalacia in adults.
Immune system support: Vitamin D3 is involved in modulating the immune system, promoting an appropriate immune response and reducing the risk of infections and autoimmune diseases.
Muscle function: Vitamin D3 has been linked to improved muscle strength and function, potentially reducing the risk of falls and fractures in older adults.
Cellular health: Emerging research suggests that vitamin D3 may have a role in maintaining healthy cell growth and differentiation, potentially influencing various cellular processes.
Vitamin C –
Antioxidant Activity: Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that helps neutralize free radicals in the body. Free radicals are unstable molecules that can cause cellular damage, and excessive oxidative stress is linked to various chronic diseases and aging.
Collagen Synthesis: Vitamin C is crucial for the synthesis of collagen, a protein that forms the structural framework for many tissues, including skin, bones, tendons, and blood vessels. This makes it important for wound healing, skin health, and maintaining the integrity of blood vessel walls.
Immune Support: Vitamin C supports the immune system by promoting the production and function of white blood cells, which play a critical role in fighting infections and diseases.
Iron Absorption: Vitamin C enhances the absorption of non-heme iron (the type of iron found in plant-based foods) from the digestive tract. This is particularly beneficial for individuals who follow a vegetarian or vegan diet and may be at risk of iron deficiency.
Neurotransmitter Synthesis: Vitamin C is involved in the synthesis of certain neurotransmitters, such as norepinephrine, which play a role in mood regulation and stress response.
Vitamin A –
Vision: One of the most well-known functions of vitamin A is its role in maintaining vision. Retinal, a form of vitamin A, is a component of the light-sensitive cells in the retina called rods and cones. It plays a vital role in the process of converting light into nerve signals that the brain interprets as vision, particularly in low-light conditions.
Immune System Support: Vitamin A is essential for a healthy immune system. It helps maintain the integrity of the skin and mucous membranes, which act as barriers against pathogens. It also plays a role in the production and maturation of immune cells that defend the body against infections.
Cell Growth and Differentiation: Vitamin A is involved in regulating cell growth and differentiation, particularly in processes like embryonic development and tissue repair.
Reproduction and Fetal Development: Vitamin A is crucial for reproductive health in both males and females. During pregnancy, it is necessary for the proper development of the fetus, particularly for the formation of the eyes, heart, lungs, and other organs.
Vitamin B-12 –
Red Blood Cell Formation: Vitamin B-12 is essential for the formation and maturation of red blood cells in the bone marrow. It works in conjunction with folate (another B-vitamin) to ensure proper synthesis of DNA and the development of healthy red blood cells.
Nervous System Function: Vitamin B-12 is involved in the maintenance of the nervous system. It plays a role in the formation of myelin, a protective sheath that surrounds nerve fibers, aiding in the efficient transmission of nerve signals.
DNA Synthesis: Vitamin B-12 is crucial for the synthesis and repair of DNA, which is the genetic material present in all cells. It helps support the normal growth and division of cells throughout the body.
Valerian Root –
Sleep Aid: Valerian root is often used as a sleep aid to help individuals with insomnia or sleep disturbances. It is believed to improve sleep quality by promoting relaxation and reducing the time it takes to fall asleep. However, its exact mechanism of action is not fully understood.
Anxiety and Stress: Valerian root may have anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) properties, and some people use it to manage mild anxiety and stress. It is thought to work by interacting with certain neurotransmitters that play a role in anxiety regulation.
Mild Sedative: Valerian root’s calming effects make it suitable for managing restlessness and nervousness during the day.
Menstrual Discomfort: Some women use valerian root to alleviate menstrual cramps and discomfort associated with premenstrual syndrome (PMS).
Not only do I love the added benefits that these Superior Source Vitamins add, but my favorite part is that they dissolve in my mouth so I don’t have to have water on hand. It makes is super convenient when we are out and about (like camping) and I want to take them! I highly recommend adding these to your daily routine.
I am also excited to share the story of the owner of Superior Source Vitamins, Ron Beckenfeld.
As a young man Ron Beckenfeld, the owner of Superior Source Vitamins, was into fitness, always worked out, and wanted to stay healthy. So finding the right vitamins seemed like the perfect fit for him when deciding to go into business.
Ron started selling vitamins out of the trunk of his car in 1964 and in 1969 he started Continental Vitamin Company; it became a life-long passion to establish a supplement company that cares about health.
In 1998 he started Superior Source MicroLingual® due to his concern about his father’s Parkinson’s condition. “When my father developed Parkinson’s, he already had a heart condition. I realized he had problems swallowing traditional large tablets, which inspired me to find a way to help my dad and others who had similar problems swallowing the vitamins they needed.”
“My dad had nitroglycerine tablets, which are very small and dissolve instantly, and he asked me why I couldn’t make vitamins like these. This was the “ah-ha!” moment that started the evolution of instant dissolving tablets, and Superior Source was born.”
“I was also concerned about all the additives and excessive amount of other ingredients found in conventional vitamin tablets, so decided to create a vitamin that was small and pure where potency isn’t lost in the high acid environment of the stomach.”
Ron started with a B-12 quick-dissolving soft-molded tablet and continued to develop an entire line of clean and pure MicroLingual® instant dissolve tablets where users didn’t have to worry about swallowing.
“So here I am 50+ years later, still passionate and profoundly providing people with vitamin tablets that are easy to take anywhere with no water necessary and absorbed quickly into their systems.”
“Manufacturing Superior Source Vitamins in our family-owned facility, I felt extremely fortunate to have many associates who have been here since the beginning.”
“We are a company built from a love for health, wellness, fitness, nutrition, and the need for a healthy and better life and continue to create new products to help all reach those goals.”
“When you want the best for you and your family, you can always trust Superior Source.”
I hope this helps you find more ways to enrich your summer and be more active!

Enjoy the outside and nature but be prepared for a range of weather and temps. Bugs, sun/heat and storms can ruin a day out fast.
