Using store coupons to save more when retail shopping
I know I post a lot about using coupons for food, toiletries and other household items, but I don’t mention enough how effective and money saving retail store coupons can be. As a mother of four young children and living on a tight budget we have discovered that we NEED to save every penny we can when we can. Clothing and shoes can become expensive, especially when kids are growing so fast. It is also nice to save money on Jewelry and other items when you buy them.
I often get fliers in the mail for Kohl’s, offering me an extra % discount, as well as Kohl’s cash and other great deals with their sales. Combine these with clearance finds and you can get some amazing deals! This is just one example of retail coupon shopping! Another store that offers great sales and coupons is Sears! Did you know that you can often find great coupons for an 10% off Apparel? You can even find great coupons for places like Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Bath and Body Works, The Home Depot, Lowes, and more! You would be surprised at what stores offer coupons.
When it comes to coupon shopping, you are not limited to only getting good deals on food or toothpaste! Last time I was in Home Depot, I saw an item on clearance and wanted a better deal still, so I asked one of the managers, and they said if I bought both items, they would take $35 off, leaving me only paying $45 for both items. Original price of these items was over $100 combined. They simply used a “store discount coupon” to give me the savings. I was very happy! If you can’t find a coupon – ASK!
