It is so nice that my kids are getting older. I miss them in their baby stages, but right now is great! They love playing games, building creating and learning new things and I know it will only get better. My kids are 4, 6, 8 and 11 and we have a lot of fun together. A few days ago we got two new sets of LEGO® Super Heroes and my kids about flipped they were so excited! Not only is our family die hard super hero fans, but we also love LEGO®‘s and it is a great way for us to get some quality family time in. To me they are a great way to keep my kids busy and help them create and let their imaginations go crazy. For them it is a wonderful world of stepping out of where they are and transporting (in their minds) to another place. It is a win-win for all of us. With these new LEGO® Super Heroes I wanted to get in on the action – and so did my hubby. These sets are really cool and they are fun for all ages! They bring characters from comic books and new movie releases to LEGO brick form.
My kids pretend most of the day that they are super heroes, animals, and a number of other things. My son has a favorite blanket that he uses as a cape even though we have bought him an actual cape, and my daughter loves her “dress ups”. The pillow forts, hideouts and numerous other creations they make leave a smile on my fave because I know they are having fun. When I see them get equally excited about toys, then you know you have a home run. One of the best things about LEGO® is that is gives kids a chance to act out their own scenes and create their own worlds. I enjoy sitting and listening to them play so much because they are amazing in their creativity.
Our kids range in age from 4-11 as I mentioned earlier, and I just have to say that with the different types of LEGO® sets you can get, their ages are not a problem anymore. We can get the LEGO® DUPLO® for my 4 year old (it is for ages 1 1/2-5), but she also enjoys playing with LEGO® JUNIORS (for ages 4+) because they have amazing sets that she can build with minimal supervision My 6 year old can do these all by himself which is nice! While my older girls love these two sets they are challenged by the LEGO® Super Heroes (Ages 5+) and while it is not hard for them, they enjoy spending the time setting it up and then playing with them for hours.
We love LEGO® and I am more than happy to let them spend their time playing with them. It helps their imagination, creativity, and even helps them learn how to follow directions in building the sets the right way. We love the minifigures and buildings and the other accessories that are part of each set. If you haven’t looked at them lately, you need to look again. LEGO®‘s are timeless and even as I enjoyed them when I was younger, my kids love them know and their kids will love them years from now. You can’t go wrong with LEGO®.
