Farmhouse is one of my favorite decorating styles. I have been slowly transitioning my house to Farmhouse style. One thing I have been working on is my mantel, so I wanted to share Farmhouse mantel decor ideas with you! I hope this gives you some inspiration and ideas so you can decorate your own.
Wood Box with Vases and Lavender
This one is simple to put together. You can buy or build your own wood box, and then get vases (I got mine with the twine already on them) and then lavender to put in them. It looks amazing but is simple and adds so much personality to any space. This is great on the mantel or in a window!
Mason Jars
Mason Jars are a staple in Farmhouse decorating. I love all sizes – but the big 1/2 gallon jars are my favorite. I also love the blue glass mason jars and vases.
Milk Jug – Galvanized Milk Can
Another popular Farmhouse staple is the milk jug or galvanized milk can. These are great to fill with flowers – use as planters, wood sticks or a dozen other things. I have a metal one that is painted white that I put lavender in and LOVE how it looks!
Distressed Wood/Metal
You can find something you love and paint it with chalk paint and then distress it and it looks rustic and will fit in perfectly with your Farmhouse mantel decor. You can also do the same with metal things. The chalk paint and distressing go a long way to the rustic, Farmhouse feel.
We have this beautiful distressed wood frame window frame in our bathroom since we don’t have a window in there, but this would be beautiful as part of farmhouse mantel decor.
Hand-lettering Signs
You can make your own or get a beautiful sign for everything from family to food. Hobby Lobby and Michaels both have great selections of wood signs with hand-lettering. These also add a lot of personality to your space when you find one that fits into your Farmhouse Mantel decor.
