Who get’s to party with the Good, the Bad, and the Planes? ME!!! I am going to LA for #MaleficentEvent #FireAndRescueEvent May 19-21!

Sometimes I feel like I control some of the mystical powers Maleficent wields because of all the amazing things that have/are happening in my life. My kids and my family are the source of many of those – but I also love my work (how many people can truly say that?). I thought I was still dreaming when I get an email telling me that I was going to go to LA to the Maleficent (#MaleficentEvent) and Planes: Fire and Rescue (#FireAndRescueEvent) events next week (May 19-21, 14). Maleficent is one of my top three movies to SEE this year and I was jumping around and dancing (very surprising reaction, i’m sure 😉 ) because I was so excited that I get to not only see but be a part of it in a very special way. Can you blame me? There will be 24 other amazing bloggers going along on this trip as well so when we are not working (doesn’t seem fair to call it that huh?) we may have a few spare minutes to hang out.  #yeahright

We will be staying at the beautiful Sheraton Universal Hotel. I was pretty excited when I found that out since I was just in that area with my family for our vacation. My kids knew right where I was talking about when I told them where I would be staying.

As part of this trip I will be doing a lot behind the scenes stuff,  interviews with the stars, and even doing a voice over for Planes: Fire & Rescue. In addition we will be screening both movies so I can tell you FREAKING awesome they are before they come out – and of course that will make you want to go see them even more! 😀

Since I was little – I mean as far back as I can remember – “Sleeping Beauty” has been a movie that I watched over and over and over. I remember dressing up as Aurora, singing the songs (that I still to this day sing, and my kids know now), and falling in love with the movie each time I watch it. Since I already have those deep roots and attachment to “Sleeping Beauty” I have been so excited each time I get to watch another trailer or clip from the MALEFICENT movie! Getting the opportunity to go there and be part of the #MaleficentEvent is like a dream come true.

The other part of this exciting journey is for Planes: Fire and Rescue (Planes 2). I was able to do a little bit for PLANES on my last trip out for the Thor: The Dark World Red Carpet Premiere, so I am super excited to be part of this one as well. PLANES is one of my family’s favorite movies to watch and I was able to share all of my experiences with them which made it even better.

We will be attending a special press day at Disney Toon Studios for PLANES: FIRE & RESCUE (opening in theatres on 7/18) where we will be  interviewing Julie Bowen (voice of “Dipper”) and the filmmakers, attend a drawing demonstration with animators and get a chance to voice a character from the film in a recording booth! And finally, I will also attend an exclusive Disney Consumer Products and Disney Store product presentation and tour at Disney’s Glendale Creative Campus to learn all about the new product lines for both films!
