The Harlem Globetrotters is a show that everyone needs to see. I had never been to a Harlem Globetrotters game before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was really amazing. Not only did they make it funny and enjoyable to watch, but they kept the audience engaged and entertained the whole time. It wasn’t just like going to a regular basketball game. They played around and make it a lot of fun.
One of the things I liked about it the most, was that they made it family oriented. It really was a show for all ages, and even very young children would stay engaged because of the way they put on their show.
At the beginning of the show, they introduced all of the players and game them each a chance to do some neat tricks with the basketballs. I loved how during the game they were able to move the ball around quickly and the plays that they ran kept you on your feet.
This is definitely an event that we are going to make part of our schedule when it comes every year. Not only does it give you some quality family time in a fun environment, but it also helps kids learn about basketball and sports and how fun they can be. I grew up playing basketball, and have total respect for the players that played in the game. When my kids asked how they could do stuff like that I told them it was because they worked hard and practiced. It was a good lesson for them to see what can happen when you are dedicated and determined.
