Heber Valley Railroad – Day our with Thomas
The Heber Valley Railroad offers such a great atmosphere and adventure for families, couples, or even those who want to experience what it felt like to ride on the railway “way back when”. My kids were thrilled when we told them that we were going on a train ride for my daughters birthday. What made it even better, was that it was Thomas the Train!
Finding the train station wasn’t hard, it is well marked in the south part of Heber. Once we got parked, we herded our kids to the entrance gate. There wasn’t a line even though there were a lot of people there. They had it set up so it was quick to get in. We went straight to the train for our ride.
One thing I love about the Heber Valley Train is that they let you choose where you want to sit. There were several cars to choose from but we wanted to sit at the front by Thomas. It actually ended up being the best spot for us, because the benches were far enough apart that all 6 of us were able to sit together comfortably.
Another thing I love is that you can open the windows! This made all the difference for my kids. They loved peaking out and seeing what it looked like as the train chugged along.
The ride lasted about 25 minutes round trip, which my kids were hoping went longer, but they were excited to return and see what activities and shows awaited them at the Train Station.
Overall the train Ride was super fun and the kids loved every minute of it. Even our 19 month old thought it was great.
When we got back from our Heber Valley Railroad Train ride, we visited all of the tents that were set up. We wanted a juggler (who was very funny and talented), a magic show, they played with bubbles, chalk, trains, and even got their faces painted! Overall it was a great experience that my kids will remember for a long time. They area already asking me to take them back again.
