Denon HEOS M5 Speaker Review - Lovebugs and Postcards

Music is such a big part of my life. I am always singing or humming or dancing to a tune in my head. My kids giggle sometimes and then join me. It is great. For this very reason I like to have a speaker in every room of my house. My kitchen was the only one that was lacking a good speaker, and I was do excited when we got the Denon HEOS M5 Speaker. Not only does the speaker look awesome, but it also sounds great.

You connect to the speaker through the app and play your music. There are options for an equalizer as well as being able to connect many of you favorite music accounts. The only thing I found that this speaker doesn’t have Bluetooth, but I bought a bluetooth adapter that plugs into the headphone port and it works great. This gives me the option of streaming the music through the HEOS 5 and using it like bluetooth device like you would your car or other portable speakers. If you want to do this, you will connect the bluetooth adapter to your phone, then go into the HEOS app and go to aux and push play, then go to your app of choice and play the music. I did this because I have Amazon Prime and I can’t access my prime playlists – and I have a few that I love to listen to. If you don’t care about that, you probably won’t care that it doesn’t have built in bluetooth because you can access pretty much everything else from the app. You can even connect the HEOS speaker to your computer to play music that way!

It really has great sound and with all of the functionality it is so nice to have in my kitchen so I can jam out to music when I am cooking, cleaning or even while we are eating or playing games. It is so nice to have in any room of the house!

Overall, we are really happy with the speaker, the sound quality and all of the features. The app is great and easy to use. This is a great system. I love that it plugs in so you don’t have to worry about charging a battery. I also love that it has handles to make it easy to move around and for portability, two custom-designed tweeters and two mid-woofers and a passive radiator powered by 4 dedicated Class D amplifiers.
