This post brought to you by UPS. The content and opinions expressed below are that of Lovebugs and Postcards.
There are so many things I would wish for if given the chance, but one of the top things on my list is child hunger. Having four kids of my own, I have a heart full of compassion for children who don’t have food to eat. We have been blessed to never have been in that situation before, but I know many who have been. We try and pay it forward by donating to food drives, taking food to the local food bank and meals to families around us that need help. That is just a small part in our community, but there is so much more to do everywhere. Not just with child hunger but with so much more. What’s your wish?
It is a great thing that we can help those all over the world because of a wonderful thing called delivery. I have been able to mail packages or have them delivered and it has been a great way to deliver everyday wishes. Every package that ends up on a door step started with a wish and UPS and their amazing workers deliver everyday wishes and make them come true by being a “problem solver”. Do you have a story to share? Do you dedicate yourself and your time to your community, country and the world by helping to make it a better place in delivering wishes? UPS wants to highlight these people and organizations and share their magical stories to inspire others – and they are making it even more special because they will donate $1 to one of their charity partners (Boys & Girls Club of America, World Food Programme, Toys for Tots Literacy Program, The Salvation Army, The UN Refugee Agency) up to $150K – for every share on Twitter or Instagram or on the #WishesDelivered Site. Use the hashtag #WishesDelivered – post in all three places so everyone can hear your story.
It is so important to look beyond ourselves and help others. Being selfless and putting others needs at the forefront. Do you know a problem solver? Someone who likes to help and do good things for others or for the great good? You can share their story too now through January 1, 2016! Let’s work together to raise money for these charities and help the greater good! Join us in creating holiday cheer and share your holiday wishes and stories. In doing this we are raising money for charity and you will inspire others to do more.
Share your own heart-felt wish and see other’s wishes through the UPS #WishesDelivered stories. Their videos are really touching. I like watching them with my kids because it helps them realize there is so much that we can do to help and it gets them in a service mode where they push me to do more as well. We can all help – start by sharing #WishesDelivered on your Twitter and Instagram pages as well as the #WishesDelivered site (this will not only help others, but also $1 will be donated for every share) – and then makes plans to get out and do more.
