My kids love tech and learning. It is such a blessing that we have so many amazing things for our kids to learn with/on like computers and tablets. One thing that is better than watching it, is being able to have hands on experience. That is why we love our Fisher Price Code-a-pillar™ from Best Buy. With the different pieces, my kids can put them together in whatever order they want and the Code-a-pillar™ will follow those directions. This makes my kids think through what will happen a head of time and have them problem solving so that the Code-a-pillar™ won’t crash. Of course, he has bumped into things, and he stops and flashes red until you fix him and push the power button. There are Right, Straight and Left arrows as well as a sound segment which plays fun music that they love to dance to. Each segment has fun sounds and lights.
The Code-a-pillar™ is a great way for my kids to learn Cause and Effect. It didn’t take them long to learn what each piece did and how they needed to keep track of the order because it will affect the direction of the Code-a-pillar™. The pieces are easy enough for my 4 year old to take apart and put together on her own, but they do not fall apart easily, staying attached to each other with USB ports. I love that there is an off/on button as well. It works great on our tile as well as our short carpet.
You can pick up the Fisher-Price Code-a-pillar™ at Best Buy. It makes a great gift – or fun for anytime. It is made for ages 3-6, but even my 8 and 11 year old girls have had a lot of fun playing around with the different patterns you can make.
Code-a-pillar™ is one of the new Think & Learn toys from Fisher-Price that goes beyond ABCs and 123s to help children learn how to think independently. Each toy fosters 21st century skills like curiosity, experimentation and problem solving in ways kids haven’t seen before. They’re engaged in hands-on, open-ended discovery that helps them become lifelong learners.
Give your kids hands on learning with the Think & Learn Code-a-pillar™.
