My three year old has a birthday this weekend, but we had her party last night since her daddy will be working on her birthday. So my almost 4 year old – who is very hands on – got a LeapPad Platinum for her birthday. She was so cute – and pretty much ignored all of the other presents she got – lol – and has hardly put it down since she opened the box.
The LeapPad Platinum is an all-new tablet featuring a 7″ multi-touch screen with sharp crisp graphics, a fast and powerful processor and a sleek design. You can connect through Wi-Fi with kid-safe web that serves up a ton of kid-appropriate videos and more. You can also access over 1,000 games and more design or approved by LeapFrog educators. The LeapPad Platinum itself is awesome, and the cameras and the stylus are also great. The stylus is anchored in the center which makes it great for right and left handed kids.
The LeapPad Platinum is the toughest ever made with the shatter-safe screen and wrap-around number to withstand accidents and play. It has a powerful quad-core processor and also has parent controls so you can manage purchases, kids’ play, customizing experiences for age level and more. One of the things I love most is the charger and the batter life. It has an 8GB memory as well and can also record video.
Another awesome product that just came out are the LeapFrog Imagicard Games! You will be able to experience gaming magic like never before with LeapFrog Imagicard. In these digital learning games you brings 30+ character and curricular cards to life onscreen. You can currently buy Paw Patrol, Letter Factory Adventures and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
While they are playing, the game will prompt your child to find the card they’d like to play first. Use the LeapPad camera to capture the card and bring the character to life onscreen. LeapFrog Imagicard games include a downloadable game, 30+ character and curricular cards, a play mat, a digital card gallery (so children can play without cards on hand) and a collectible card storage tin.
Overall I am really happy with the capabilities of the LeapPad Platinum and I can let my kids play games on it without having to worry about them This is by far the best tablet they have made and all of my kids (even my almost 11 year old) enjoys playing on it. If there is one thing you are thinking about getting for your kids’ birthday or Christmas – this is it. You can learn more about it on Leapfrog.com.
Another great item that we got to try out is the LeapFrog Word Whammer. This is a great toy that my kids love to play with that works on phonic skills, building words, letter sounds and more. It has been essential for my 5 year old. Read the full review here.
