Magic Wand Cupcakes

In honor of Fantastic Beasts and the Crimes of Grindelwald coming out, we decided to make some fun Magic Wand Cupcakes! We made actual magic wands last time, so you can check those out HERE to go along with your magic wand cupcakes!

We used Pirouline wafers to make the wands. You can use any flavor of cupcake, but we did a carrot cake since we used cream cheese frosting.

It didn’t long to put them all together. If you are in a tight pinch, you can even use premade cupcakes and then just make the wands to go on top!

To make your Magic Wand Cupcakes you will need:

Cupcakes
Frosting (we used cream cheese)
Bakers chocolate (white and milk)
Pirouline wafers
Sprinkles, candy pearls, etc optional

MELT THE CHOCOLATE

First, you will cut the Pirouline wafers in half with a sharp knife. Then you will want to frost your cupcakes before you melt the chocolate. Next, take your white chocolate and milk chocolate and put them each in different microwave-safe dishes.

One at a time put them in the microwave. Set it to 30 seconds, take it out and “stir” it or flip it and then put it back in for another 30 seconds and do this until it mixes. DO NOT OVERHEAT. It will make the chocolate thick and dry looking.

MAKE THE WANDS

Once both chocolates are melted, you will take one of the Pirouline wafers halves and drop it into the milk chocolate. This is what we are using to make the magic wand cupcakes. Use a spoon to make sure it is coated completely and then lift it out and put it on a silicone mat or parchment paper (or wax paper). See the picture above for examples.

Do this with the remaining Pirouline wafers. Next you will take the cupcakes and lay them out on the parchment. Using the chocolate (use dark with light colored frosting and light for dark colored frosting) you are going to drizzle it over the tops (as pictured). You will also want to drizzle over the wands too.

Once the chocolate is dry, you will put the wands on top of the cupcakes and you are ready to go. Plan on about 30 minutes dry time for the chocolate, unless you want to put it in the freezer, which will cut it to like 10 minutes. Your Magic Wand cupcakes are now complete!

They are easy to make, and look amazing! And a great way to have a fun Fantastic Beats: The Crimes of Grindelwald movie night!

Blu-ray & DVD Features

The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc of “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” will feature Dolby Vision^TM HDR that dramatically expands the color palette and contrast range and uses dynamic metadata to automatically optimize the picture for every screen, frame by frame.

The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc of “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” will also feature a Dolby Atmos® soundtrack remixed specifically for the home theater environment to place and move audio anywhere in the room, including overhead.

To experience Dolby Atmos at home, a Dolby Atmos enabled AV receiver and additional speakers are required, or a Dolby Atmos enabled sound bar. Dolby Atmos soundtracks are also fully backward compatible with traditional audio configurations and legacy home entertainment equipment.

“Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” will also be available on Movies Anywhere. Using the free Movies Anywhere app and website, consumers can access all their eligible movies by connecting their Movies Anywhere account with their participating digital retailer accounts.

SYNOPSIS

At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.

In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.
