We have partnered with Wondery Media to bring you this post about Melon’s House Party. All opinions are our own.
One of the things I love to do with my kids is read and listen to books. It is a great way for us to bond and it helps their imaginations grow. My family is also huge on music. In my family (just the 6 of us) we can play the Piano, Cello, Violin, Guitar, Drums, and so many other instruments. So I am always excited to find new things for us to do that include both stories and music! Our newest find, Melon’s House Party is perfect for me and my littles.
It is a podcast geared towards kids ages 5-12 with engaging stories and music. All of the music is original to the show. You also get family-friendly entertainment that is screen-free! We love listening to these stories while we are working on art, puzzles, traveling, or even just snuggling together relaxing. Since each episode is about 30 mins long, you can enjoy it with your kids, or let them listen while you get some things done around the house. Melon’s House Party is especially great for music lovers!
About Melon’s House Party
Welcome to Melon’s House Party! Did you know that the objects in your house sing and speak all day long? They just do so in a key only dogs can hear. Enter, Melon, an eight pound dog with a thousand pound heart who is the key to a world that lives right under our noses! She lives in a world full of friends; an always singing record player, a soulless computer, her bookshelf therapist and many more. But her best friend in the world is Couch. No musical adventure is too big for Melon and Couch as long as they can figure out a way to do it together. As Melon learns about herself and the world around her, she shows us how to appreciate the little things in life and the importance of friendship and family.
I love listening to Melon’s House Party with my kids. Melon and her friends go through a lot of different challenges and trials and learn how to overcome them or learn from them. These are great life lessons for little kids because they are similar situations that they are facing. It helps them realize others go through the same things and there are ways to deal with it and it will be ok. The music is great. The stories are great. We love that new episodes of the show come out every Wednesday, so we make special time to listen to them together! It is a great way to spend a little extra time together doing something not only fun but also screen-free.
