This Minecraft Valentine’s Box post is brought to you by OrientalTrading.com. All opinions are my own.
My kids all love Minecraft, but my son is really into it. Last year for Valentine’s Day, we made a Minecraft Sheep Valentine’s box for him to use at school. All of his classmates loved it. In fact, he still has it in his room. We also just posted Minecraft Valentine’s printables, so be sure to print those out to go with your Minecraft Valentine’s Box.
Today I am excited to share the Minecraft Valentine’s Day box we made for him to use this year! He is so excited and can’t wait to take it to school on Valentine’s Day.
To make your Minecraft Valentine’s box you will need:
- DIY Unfinished Wood Tool Boxes
- Pixel Checkered Bandanas
- Minecraft® Paper Masks
- Pencils with Mountain Climber Pickaxe Topper
- Paint
First, you will take one of the unfinished wood tool boxes out and put it together. You may also choose to paint it before you put it together. You will also want to glue it once it is together so it is sturdy enough for them to carry around full of treats.
Next, you can paint it, or leave it natural wood color. We painted the Zombie blue (for a blue shirt), Ender black and purple, Creeper green, and the Skeleton white.
Once the paint dries, you will take one of the Minecraft® Paper Masks and attach it around the box. There is a stretchy cord that makes this really easy.
We used the checkered bandanas to fold up and put it into the bottom of the box to add a little more flare.
My kids had so much fun making these! They did most of the painting and put the boxes together. We also had fun making the printable Minecraft Valentines that my son is going to hand out to his class.
You can also get instructions for the Minecraft Sheep Valentine’s box that we made here. He took that last year and it was a big hit!
Let us know if you have any questions and have fun!

I probably should have come here instead of glue together toilet paper tubes and gift wrapping to make a sad little robot:( Next year I will come back strong with this project!

No word of a lie, my partner would LOVE this idea. We both love Minecraft and have played on PC since 2010 when we first met. 10 years later we’re still going strong (Minecraft in tow) so it would be a fun and perfect way top mark the occasion!
