I am a Peanuts Ambassador and received product in order to to this posts. This did not affect my opinions.
We love The Peanuts Gang! I am so glad that the movie is finally out because my kids asked over and over when they could watch it again. It is so cute and I love the messages that are tied in. Because our family loves movies and spending time together, we always enjoy family movies nights. I loved surprising my kids this last weekend with the best movie night we have had yet! {Just one reason why I love being a Peanuts ambassador!}. I got the coolest box full of Peanuts stuff, and so I got everything ready and loved their reactions. I made Peanuts Popcorn Mix (chocolate covered pretzels and toffee covered peanuts mixed with popcorn and OREO cookies), a “Charlie Brown” drink (just Sunny D in their cups, but it was yellow lol), and I got all of the stuff setup for the perfect time with my family.
I printed out some amazing Peanuts activities, as well as a fun craft! We love crafting too and I thought it would be a fun way to get them settled down after the movie. We made fun paper airplanes with a Snoopy and Woodstock in each one and raced them. The whole night was so much fun! To enjoy our movie night we got all of these fun PEANUTS toys that my kids haven’t stopped playing with. We also get a PEZ set, Peanuts UNO, baseballs, a kite, Peanuts tumbler cups, the movie/Snoopy set, and more. We had a blast putting the hats and shirts on and taking fun selfies.
To make the Peanuts Popcorn Mix you will need a bag of popped popcorn, mini Oreo cookies, toffee coated peanuts, chocolate covered pretzels and a brick of the chocolate bark. It is really east to put together. Just take a food processor and mix the peanuts, pretzels and cookies together (do not make into a powder – this is just to break them into pieces). Mix this with the popcorn (make sure there are no kernels) in a large bowl. Next put the chocolate bark into a microwave safe container and microwave in increments of 30 sec., stirring until melted. Do not over heat. Pour the chocolate over the popcorn mixture and stir until everything is coated then lay flat in a cookie sheet to cool (takes about 10 minutes). Serve right away or keep in air-tight container for up to a week.
We had such a great time at our Peanuts movie night. The movie is great and my kids love watching it. All of the fun things we had with the treats made it even better. Pick up the movie at most major retailers or online. We are excited to also offer a giveaway to two readers who will each receive a Free Digital Download of The Peanuts Movie!
Giveaway will run from 3/16/16-3/25/16. Open to US only. Must be 18 or older to enter. All entries will be verified. Winner will have 24 hours to respond to winning email or another winner will be chosen. Good Luck!
