We love the holidays, and meals are an important part of what we do. Gathering together around the table and enjoying good food and company is something that I look forward to every year. Of course it doesn’t come together on its own and I have to make plans for preparing our holiday dinner. There are things to consider like the amount of guests, food, table decor, stemware, plates and silverware and more! I have done a few holiday dinners and I want to share some tips and tricks I have picked up over the years.

First of all you want to figure out the guest list. It won’t help to prepare food for 30 people if only 10 are coming. Once you have a tentative guest list, make a menu. This will help you plan out what you will need to buy and what/if you can do for food assignments for the other guests. If you don’t need/want them to contribute to the meal, then it would be fun to have them bring a game, drinks, or something else that can let them know they are needed.
