Printable Coloring Page Christmas Tree 3-D Craft
With Christmas coming up, my kids wanted to start doing more Christmas Crafts – SO we ended up making 3-D Christmas Trees tonight! It was pretty fun and really easy. It was something that kept them busy with coloring, cutting, and decorating and I was able to just enjoy and watch them. The trees turned out really cute and I am glad we will have them decorating our house this year!
We used the Printable Tree Patterns from Stuck-On-Glue. Make sure you have them color one side, cut it out, then color the other side before you cut the slits. We used white card stock, but you can use green and then just cut them out and let them decorate them if you don’t have a lot of time.
I did this project with my four kids ages 2-9 and they all loved it. My 2 year old had a blast coloring her pages, then I helped her cut them out and she put the stickers on (with help). My four year old was able to color, cut and decorate his own as well as my 6 and 9 year olds without any problems.
Use can use markers (dig into your stockpile from all of the back to school sales, lol) or stickers, or even stick on gems or foam decor. I thought about letting them use tinsel (just pulling little single pieces off) and having them glue them on.
I may do it in sizes next year (biggest to smallest) and have each of us make one so we have our “family of trees” and they are sized according to age. I think that would be way fun and a great family night activity (topped off with cookies and hot chocolate – YUM!)
