With my three older kids in school full time, it is just my 5-year-old and myself at home now for part of the day. I usually take advantage of this time to get my shopping done because, let’s face it, anyone who has shopped with kids knows how much easier it is with one as opposed to two, three or four. As we were walking through Walmart, and picking out things from our grocery list (she likes to grab it off the shelf and put it in the cart), we were in the cheese section, and she saw the Disney® Frozen String Cheese and Snack Cards. One of her favorite movies is Frozen, so you can understand how excited she got. Of course, I let her grab both of them. Not only are they really cute, but I knew that they would be a good source of calcium and protein, as well as a great on-the-go snack.
We got home from the store and put them away, and later that day she came running into the kitchen to pick out her “after-school” snack when her brother and sisters got home from school. I had to lay them all out so she could see the cute pictures and let her pick one. She wanted to have one of each to play with before she ate them, lol, but she finally narrowed it down to one. My other kids saw these, and couldn’t wait to pick theirs out as well. They are a wholesome and healthy snack that I am happy to let them eat. My son loves to peel a clementine, or grab a handful of grapes and eat those with it.
My 9-year-old packed her lunch with a couple of the Disney® Frozen String Cheese snacks. She had so much fun putting it all together and then adding Elsa and Olaf to her lunch box. She couldn’t wait to get to school and show all of her friends. Buying the Disney® Frozen String Cheese for my family was an easy choice. It is made with milk so I know that my kids are getting that extra dose of calcium and protein for the day.
Yesterday I needed to run some errands, so Kenzie immediately went to the fridge before we left, and picked out one of the Disney® Frozen String Cheeses to take with us. She also had her Elsa doll, so we had to pick out two so they could each have one. She picked Elsa for herself and Sven for her dolly. We headed out and got settled into the car, and she had to get her treats ready so they could eat them while they watched the movie on the way to the store. She was so cute to watch! I love how excited she gets.
Having a wholesome treat on the way to the store, made it so I didn’t hear “Mommy, I’m hungry!” the whole time we were shopping. It was a nice change! We took the $1 Disney® Frozen String Cheese coupon (expires 1/15/2017) and picked up some more while we were out. They are a great value, a lot of fun and a wholesome snack for my kids. With just me and my 5-year-old at home, I have lots of time to spend with just her. On days that daddy works, I get to spend quality time with all of my kids.
