I was able to screen Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem in order to write this Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem Parents Guide. All opinions are my own.

I am going to start off by saying that the animation was very different from anything you have seen lately. And I actually loved it. It was exactly what I wanted from this movie. The storyline was fantastic. It has a lot of present-day mixed with flashbacks of their history so you got to really know the characters, but it wasn’t drug out or too much. I liked the music and the soundtrack. Some great old-school vibes.

They really gave each character a great personality, and they defined that throughout the movie. The cast fits so great with the character that they each voiced. You will laugh and really enjoy every second of this movie. Young kids and teens will relate and enjoy the Turtles and other young mutants in the show and the older kids/adults will relate to the older characters in the movie.

I think this will be the best family movie of the summer!

It is full of laughs and keeps you engaged and enjoying it the whole time. And best of all – it is great for ALL ages!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is rated PG for language, drug use, and suggestive references. It runs for 2hr 26m.

There is one end-credit scene for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. It shows really cool animated credits and then it cuts to another scene. Once the real credits start running, feel free to head out.

Sex & Nudity – 1/5 – Some crude innuendos and comments. Most of it will go over kids’ heads.

Violence & Gore – 2/5 – Shows a lot of combat (ninja, hand-to-hand, weapons), characters being electrocuted, a character stabbed in the face (blink and you miss it), a large mutant eats people (or kills them) but it doesn’t show it.

Profanity – 2/5 – This has a little more language than I would have liked, but no hard words. Several uses of OMG, God, Lord, and a few uses of damn, hell, what the hell. Overall pretty clean.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking – 0/5 – None that were promient

Frightening & Intense Scenes – 2/5 – There are a lot of fighting scenes, as expected. Some of the mutants may be a little scary for YOUNGER viewers.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is a great family movie. We all really enjoyed it and heard great things about it from others as well. Put this on your list of movies to catch at the theater this summer!
