We were able to screen both The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run and the Kamp Koral series. All opinions are my own.
Both THE SPONGEBOB MOVIE: SPONGE ON THE RUN and all-new Paramount+ Original Series KAMP KORAL: SPONGEBOB’S UNDER YEARS will premiere on the service on Thursday, March 4. THE SPONGEBOB MOVIE: SPONGE ON THE RUN will also be released by Paramount Home Entertainment for Premium Video-On-Demand (PVOD) on the same day.
Here is my son’s, Hunter, review of the movie:
The movie is so funny. The show is mainly about Gary, his pet snail. King Poseidon needs snails to rub on his face to keep the wrinkles away. On his adventure to find more snails, he comes across Gary and takes him. SpongeBob and Patrick go on a mission to find SpongeBob’s pet snail.
During the adventure, they navigate the ocean in a robot that Sandy made. At one point they fall asleep and then come across a “wild west” town. The tumbleweed holds a surprise that helps them on their adventure. While working on the special mission so they can get the surprise (a special coin), they get trapped. They figure out an escape plan and are able to finally get free. With their coin in hand, they continue on their adventure to find Gary the snail.
When they “wake up” the tumbleweed is there with them. He stays with them on the adventure until they get to Poseidon’s city. They go in and get distracted by the carnival, even though the tumbleweed advised them not to. During a game of Roulette, they lose their special coin. Later, they wake up in front of Poseidon’s Castle. They clean up and then find out there is a big show going on. Poseidon is supposed to be there with Gary.
They learn there will be different acts performing during the show, so they join the show so they can get in. After they perform, SpongeBob sees Gary and attacks Poseidon to get him back.
He has his guards arrest SpongeBob and Patrick. They go to jail and that is when they realize Patrick lost their special coin. After some fighting and arguing they finally figure out a way to escape. They sneak up to get Gary and escape out of the city. They meet the tumbleweed and then get back in the robot and go back to their town. Mr. Crabs missed SpongeBob because nothing was working right while he was gone.
