Safety 1st BoostAPak
We love to travel. My kids love to travel too, but it seems like they always have to bring their inevitable “bag of stuff” to keep them entertained on the way. Being a larger family it always made things a little more tight when each kid had to bring a bag full of books, toys, coloring books, etc. I am so excited about this new Safety 1st BoostAPak that I don’t even mind them bringing their stuff anymore. They just put it in their BoostAPak – and then pick out a couple of things to do between stops, then when we get out to stretch, they can exchange it for something else!
The Safety 1st BoostAPak is the first of its kind. It is a backpack that is a booster seat! My (almost) four year old loves his BoostAPak. The straps are padded and comfortable for him to wear. It is cushion on the backside (the part that is against their back) so that it is not poking him or uncomfortable to carry.
The flap that covers the handles has three large pieces of velcro that secure the flap on. I haven’t had to worry about it coming off once. There is a dual zipper, and the zipper itself is very heavy duty, making it easy for kids and adults a like to open and close it easily.
When you open your BoostAPak, there is a large pocket that will hold a lot of stuff (it is about 5-6 inches deep and holds a coloring book just fine. There is also a mesh pocket where you can keep papers or another book. It has a hard shell that may seem a little heavy to smaller ones carrying also protects it and keeps the items inside from getting smashed. My son didn’t’ have any problems carrying the BoostAPak when it was full of his “stuff”.
The cover itself unzips and comes off so that it can be cleaned. It has a link strap, that will allow you to put the shoulder belt over your child without it being at a dangerous level. It is adjustable to that it can grow with your child. It can also be put on either side of the booster seat so that the seat can be used with the right or left seat belts.
For children 4 to 7 years old, booster seats reduce injury risk by 59% compared to seat belts alone. (Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia). Additionally, the AAP recommends children ride in boosters until the age of 12 or 57 inches; but only 13% of children 54-56 inches tall ride on one (NHTSA)
Another thing I love about the BoostApak is that it is narrower than a regular booster seat, so it will fit into those tight places in the back of smaller cars where you need a booster seat but it wouldn’t fit.
It is the perfect solution for weekends with grandparents (just pack their stuff in the BoostAPak – then they have their booster seat and suitcase all in one. It is also great for traveling abroad – because it can be considered their carryon and then you don’t have to rent or buy booster seats while you are traveling. It is even great for the movies!

I would love to have one of these for my son and daughter. They always need stuff to do in the car when we make our weekly trips to the grocery and running errands. This would save SO much space, which is a precious thing when you have four kids!
I like that it fits so much stuff yet it’s compact. I sure wish I’d had something like this when my daughter was little.This would be good for my new grandbaby when it’s older. It’s not born yet but I’m going to be a grandma ready for everything & everything 🙂

this is such a great product..i like that they can carry it around like a backpak and then it turns into a booster seat and iu can store their stuff in it..awesome.

This would be great for my grandson when we go get him to come visit us for the weekend it is a 3 hour ride and he can bring stuff to keep him entertained.
