My Walgreens Shopping Trip yesterday (Monday)was great! While there were so many good deals this week, I am trying to only get stuff for what I have rewards to pay for it so that my out of pocket cost stays low. I couldn’t resist the free toothpaste so I ended up spending a little more than I wanted out of pocket, but I am still happy with the results!
I did three transactions because of the toothpaste RR.
(3) Colgate Sensitive Toothpaste $3.99
Used (3) $1/1 peelie coupons on the boxes
(12) ID Gum $1 each
Used (6) Buy 1 Get 1 FREE Coupons
AND used the $0.50/2 coupon from the October coupon booklet (took off $3)
(4) Pencils with Eraser Toppers $0.25 each
With in-ad coupon
(9) Mars Milky Way $0.59
with in-ad coupon
AND used (3) buy 2 get 1 free coupons
(4) Boxes of Kleenex Tissues $1 each with in-ad coupon
AND used the $0.75/4 coupon
Total BEFORE sales/coupons = $51.84
Total after sales = $34.28
Used $15.21 in coupons
(used $12 in RR from last week)
Paid $8.74 (with taxes) (would have paid $20.74)
Got back (3) $3 RR from Colgate
Got 1400 Rewards Points = $1.40
Final Cost $10.34 (the same as paying $0.32/item)
Savings of 80% overall
