As you go through the first months and your body starts to change, physically and emotionally. As you get into the last few months of pregnancy it makes it hard to sleep, or even relax because it can be hard to get comfortable. Ways to relax for better sleep during pregnancy
Rest – This one is so important. It may seem self-explanatory, but while you are pregnant, your body needs more rest than normal. It is ok to sit down and take a break or a nap throughout the day. Unless instructed to do so, you don’t want to spend all your time lay around, but make sure you are letting your body rest when it needs it. Boppy Pregnancy pillows are perfect to help you get comfortable wherever you are and will help you get better sleep.
Eat good – A good diet will make a difference in how you feel. Eat a good healthy diet that will nourish you and your growing baby. It will also help you have more energy and you will have a better overall feeling.
Mediation – Thinking about what is happening and preparing yourself can help calm your mind. Think through everything that is going on in your life and try and resolve what you can. Don’t worry about things you can’t change.
Reading – Grab a good novel and get lost in a story or read up on pregnancy, raising children or a million other topics. Reading is a great way to help you relax and take your mind off of things for a while. It also will give you a chance to rest your body for a while.
Exercise – Try and stay as active as possible. This way, when it is time for you to rest or sleep, your body will be tired and you will want to rest. Take several breaks throughout the day to sit down and relax your body and mind. Don’t feel guilty about needing the extra rest. It is good for you and your baby.
Using a calendar or planner – writing down responsibilities and keeping track of what you have to do can help you relax and not have to try and keep so much on your mind. Spread things out so you are not too busy and let others help you when you need it.
Educate yourself about birth – If this is your first pregnancy, be sure to read about what to expect. Talk to your doctor or midwife and friends and family that have had children. The more you are educated, the better your experience will be.
Figure out your budget – If money is a worry for you, take the time to sit down with your spouse and go over your finances and make a budget. Don’t let worrying about money be an undo stress.
Take time for yourself – Head out and get your nails done, or get a massage or hang out with your best friends for an afternoon. Have fun and enjoy yourself. It will help ease your mind and relax your body.
Friends and Family – Let your friends and family help you. It can be as simple as someone to talk to about how you are feeling, to letting them help with things like chores, grocery shopping, cooking, etc. Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it.
Journaling – Writing down how you are feeling and what you are going through will help get it off your mind, and then you will also have a record that you can refer to later, or even during later pregnancies that will help you remember/understand what you went through. Your child will also love reading about when they get older.

My boys are 32 and 36 so I honestly don’t remember having trouble sleeping. Of course that might be because I work incredibly long hours, so I’m exhausted when I hit the bed. For those having trouble sleeping, these look like good ideas & you might be able to reuse when nursing.

A right education and a relaxing way to rest and sleep during pregnancy should be well instructed by moms. They should know the importance of realizing their worth of having a human inside of them.
