Yesterday was a very eventful day! It was my daughter’s 6th birthday and we had a full day of fun. We went on the Heber Valley Railroad Day out with Thomas ride and had a great time at the activities afterwards. Then we went to my husband’s parents house and had a big BBQ with cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. It was a lot of fun. From there we went on up to a friends house and surprised our kids with the two newest additions to our family – Luke and Jake. These little guys are so fun.
We hadn’t told our kids that we were getting a dog and when we were looking at the puppies (because they thought we were just there visiting) we told them that we were going to take one home. Our oldest daughter started crying she was so excited. The other three were happy, but our Birthday girl is scared of dogs, and so she was a little nervous. She is already doing better just after spending one day with them. I hope this helps her overcome that fear.
While we were there picking out the dogs, we decided that we wanted a pair, brothers, and they could keep each other company. I am glad we did. They love to play, snuggle, and get into trouble together. I am so happy to have them. I had a dog growing up and have really missed it.
I haven’t had a dog for a long time, let alone puppies, so if you have any tips about training them or routine things we need to do or have, please leave a comment and share your wisdom with me. I would appreciate it 🙂
